2023 Sudtiroler Weissburgunder, Weingut Niedrist Aligote Approachable now or for cellaringHailing from the idyllic alpine region of Alto Adige, on the Italy Austria border, this Weissburgunder or Pinot Blanc as it's known elsewhere is a textbook example of the complex, mineral fresh whites of the region. Bright, intense straw yellow. Delicate, elegant nose with green herbal notes of freshly cut grass and some thyme. Precise and straightforward on the palate with crisp acidity, lots of drive, juicy with salty fruit on a long finish.
