Beyer) - Fantasy Pieces for Alto Flute and Piano *Novello and deserve a larger presenceFranz von Vecsey (18931935) was a Hungarian violinist and composer, quite well known throughout Europe despite his rather short life. Most notably, the Violin Concerto of Jean Sibelius was dedicated to him at the age of 12 following a sequence of unfortunate events surrounding the multiple premieres of different versions of it. As a composer, von Vecsey was most well known for composing virtuosic salon pieces for the violin, and thus, two of them
