I understand that WotC wished to make the newer creature slightly different, but the different keyword means that the player shall need to make a complex choice in how they use it: they can summon the creature early in the game to take advantage of its haste, which their opponent may not have any creatures for blocking, but they then likely would not have a powerful instant or sorcery in their graveyard to cast

Some of those end up being activated or triggered abilities, but the keyword lieutenant itself is neither
