The sun finally breaks through the afternoon storm clouds that dropped 3-5 inches of snow giving off reflections of a couple oak trees and a box elder tree along the South Fork Kishwaukee River in Northern Illinois

I was looking for some subjects to photograph along the trail with the sun illuminating those subjects when I came upon this Kentucky coffee tree being backlit with an orange glow from the morning sun

Decided to head out and photograph the recent snow storm we had of 4-5 inches

that the migration of sandhill cranes are flying north to their breeding grounds is in full force as thousands of them make the journey
