They are dangly drop earrings, the bottom modelled as a scarab beetle, mounted to a gold tablet with the reverse featuring hieroglyphics in light relief. The scarab drops are suspended from a latch back ear wire fitting with a pelmet of lotus flower design. These are beautiful earrings, marked to the reverse with an Egyptian makers mark and on the posts, test as 18ct gold. Likely
