This piece is influenced by Paul Gaugin’s Polynesian women and Johannes Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring”

Blue Sky at Night & Reflected Pair Extra Wide Formentera Dreaming was painted forThese artworks are based on the view from my house that overlooks Careel Bay on Pittwater, Northern Beaches of Sydney (co incidentally where my first exhibition was held!!) People are somewhat in love with the expression of pink sky at night but I am personally more besotted with when the moon first comes up into the inky blue sky and the trees are bathed in moonlight, that is reflected in the water in the right hand side artwork in this romantic pair.
